This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to every seller and every transaction processed through Settleline. It exists to keep the Services safe and lawful and to meet the requirements of our payment partners and the card networks. We may update the categories below to reflect legal and network requirements. Breach of this AUP may result in suspension of transactions or closure of an account.
Prohibited categories
The following are not permitted under any circumstances:
- Any activity that is illegal in the jurisdiction of the seller or the buyer, or that promotes illegal activity.
- Any content or activity that sexually exploits, endangers, or depicts minors. This is strictly prohibited and reported to the relevant authorities.
- Non-consensual content, or content published without the documented consent of every identifiable person depicted.
- Intellectual property infringement, including the sale or distribution of counterfeit goods or pirated media.
- Fraud, deception, or misrepresentation, including deceptive marketing, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, and unauthorized use of another person's payment credentials.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and related components where their sale is regulated or prohibited.
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and related paraphernalia.
- Unlicensed gambling, betting, or games of chance.
- Unlicensed financial services, including money transmission, virtual currency exchange, and investment schemes offered without required authorization.
- Malware, credential harvesting, or any product designed to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
- Goods or services subject to trade sanctions, or transactions with sanctioned individuals, entities, or territories.
- Human trafficking, exploitation, or any service that harms or endangers people.
Restricted categories
The following may be supported only with prior approval and additional controls. Contact us before using the Services for any of these:
- Regulated products such as alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, and supplements, which may be supported only with appropriate licensing and age verification.
- Subscription and recurring billing, which must present clear terms, renewal reminders, and an easy way to cancel.
- High-value or high-risk digital goods, which may require additional verification and risk controls.
- Marketplaces and platforms with multiple sellers, which must have adequate onboarding and monitoring of their own sellers.
Compliance and verification
Sellers must accurately describe their business, provide any information we reasonably request for verification, and comply with applicable law and card network rules. We may screen transactions, request documentation, and suspend activity that we reasonably believe breaches this AUP.

If you believe the Services are being used in breach of this policy, please report it to support@settle-line.com. We take reports seriously and investigate promptly.
